Part of our trip mentioned in a previous post was a family reunion. My mom posted a lot about it here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here, in case you want more details and don’t already read my mom’s blog. Okay, that was pretty humorous, writing “here” so many times. It started to look like I spelled it wrong or something. I will just share a few of my thoughts.
The first night a parade came right past the hotel where we stayed. Daniel had so much fun, and was so happy, it is a memory I will treasure! He just got so excited about everything, especially the animals and the candy. He ran after the candy and brought it to me. Most of it was hard candy that I wouldn’t let him eat, but there were some other things that I did let him have. He was just such a happy, excited boy!
On Sunday we went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Kathryn and Amelia had so much fun with their cousins. I love having lots of cousins their ages. Kathryn started calling all the girl cousins part of her “team”. She was very excited to have a white dress just like Hannah’s in this picture, and Courtney’s (not in this picture). What I love also about this picture, though, is that Amelia doesn’t notice or care that she doesn’t have a white dress like the other girls.
All the grandkids in order of age in front of the temple.
We also attempted a family picture. Notice Kathryn’s two headbands. She insists on wearing two, because one of them acts as the headband, and the other one is “flowers in my hair”.
One evening Darryl and I were in charge of some games. We brought things to play some of the games from the show “Minute to Win It”. When we first had the idea we figured we had to make sure we could do the games before challenging anyone else to do them. So we practiced at home. The girls spent literally hours playing with the paper cups.
Well, that’s about all I’ve got in me right now. Maybe more later!
