I loved that QFC just down from your place in Seattle too. Not that Cold Lake is big place but I too wish that things were closer, in a somewhat walking distance to where we are. Living in a family oriented neighborhood is so nice. There are more and more children in our area now but there are still some crazy drivers who speed around the two corners. And yay! for living near parents. It does help to have some support around.

I can relate on many different measures. And we didn't even move that far from where we used to live :) !!

We love our new home and our new area, but there are definitely things we miss, and definitely things we are still getting used to. I keep reminding myself that it also takes a good 18-24 months to make some solid friendships where you get to know someone better than just on a casual level.
